How I got here
I started as an AME and spent thirteen years with an airline — line/heavy maintenance, running a component overhaul shop, and eventually managing all maintenance technical operations.
Next 8 years with a large MRO in quality assurance, followed by 21 years at Transport Canada Civil Aviation first as a Civil Aviation Safety Inspector then Technical Team Lead, Airworthiness.
I left Transport Canada in 2026 to start Veritas AeroConsulting. The work hasn't changed much — the difference is I’m working for you.

2018 - 2026
Technical Team Lead, Airworthiness — Transport Canada
Full Minister's Delegation for Airworthiness and led a team of seven Civil Aviation Safety Inspectors.
Project manager for a 2025 national project aligning Transport Canada's surveillance program with ICAO requirements, in response to findings from the 2023 ICAO audit.
2015 - 2017
Technical Program Evaluation and Coordination — Transport Canada
National Programs / Surveillance & Oversight Program
Coordinated national surveillance and oversight program evaluation, identifying policy & process gaps and driving standardization across regions.
Reviewed and created policy, standards, procedures, and guidance; delivered technical instruction on surveillance procedures.
2005 - 2015
Civil Aviation Safety Inspector, Airworthiness - Transport Canada
Conducted audits, program validation inspections, SMS assessments, and process inspections on Canadian aviation certificate holders.
Administered aircraft maintenance engineer licensing and issued, amended, suspended, or cancelled company approvals.
Reviewed and approved aircraft maintenance schedules, maintenance, manufacturing, and training policy manuals.
1998 - 2005
Quality Assurance Manager — Cascade Aerospace
Managed QA/QC supervisors and inspectors; principal contact for regulatory and customer audits.
Administered ACA, SCA, and stamp control programs, technical library, and controlled-document system.
Applied TapRoot® root cause analysis and corrective action planning to occurrence investigation and systemic issue resolution.
1985 - 1998
Maintenance Manager / Shop Manager / AME — Canadian Regional Airlines
Managed airline maintenance technical operations with a $77M annual maintenance budget and 450 employees through reporting managers.
Negotiated and managed a $20M turbine engine overhaul contract; led aircraft inspection, repair, and overhaul programs.
Managed the aircraft component overhaul shop.
Performed aircraft maintenance engineering duties on large aircraft in line and heavy maintenance environments.
